Sales to individuals, fleet and businesses all shrank last month. Year-to-date sales declined 3% to 1.05 million units. Volume lagged year-earlier levels for the third consecutive month.
SMMT blames the slowdown to continued uncertainty about future diesel policy, the end of incentives for plug-in hybrids and worries about the outcome of the U.K.’s stalled plan to exit the European Union.
