In France, May sales declined 4% to 143,100 vehicles, also because of fewer selling days, according to trade group CCFA. Adjusted deliveries grew 7%.
Sales in Italy jumped 11% to 146,600 vehicles last month, the transport ministry says. In Spain, the seventh renewal of a government-industry scrappage plan boosted May deliveries 14% to 94,000 units, according to industry group ANFAC.
