Canada to Invest in Toyota Hybrid Production
The governments of Canada and Ontario have agreed to invest a combined $34 million to enable Toyota Motor Corp. produce hybrid vehicles at its plant in Cambridge, Ont.

The governments of Canada and Ontario have agreed to invest a combined $34 million to enable Toyota Motor Corp. produce hybrid vehicles at its plant in Cambridge, Ont.
The funding is intended to help Toyota to retool the factory to make its Lexus RX450h hybrid crossover vehicle, thus adding 400 production jobs. Canada notes this will be the first hybrid model built in the country.
