The governments of Canada and Ontario have agreed to invest a combined $34 million to enable Toyota Motor Corp. to produce hybrid vehicles at its plant in Cambridge, Ont.

The governments of Canada and Ontario have agreed to invest a combined $34 million to enable Toyota Motor Corp. to produce hybrid vehicles at its plant in Cambridge, Ont.
The funding is intended to help Toyota retool the factory to make its Lexus RX450h hybrid crossover vehicles. The project marks the first hybrid passenger vehicle to be mass produced in Canada.
