General Motors Co.’s Cadillac brand plans to offer V-Series performance variants for all cars and crossovers in its lineup.

GM product development chief Mark Reuss says the V-Series “sparked new life” into Cadillac when it debuted with the CTS-V sport sedan 14 years ago. The brand’s flagship CT6 large sedan will be the latest to gain a V-Series option when it goes on sale next spring.

The high-performance model will be powered by a twin-turbo, 4.2-liter V-8 “Blackwing” engine expected to deliver 550 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Cadillac currently offers V-Series versions of its ATS and CTS sedans. The brand hasn’t provided a timetable for other V-Series variants, which will include crossover vehicles.
