General Motors Co.'s Cadillac unit has appointed James Bunnell as U.S. vice president of sales, effective Oct. 1.
Bunnell currently is a vice president at Chevrolet and head of Cadillac sales in Europe. He is a past general manager of GM's Buick, GMC and Pontiac brands and general manager of U.S. sales support for all brands.
Bunnell, 59, will report to Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen, who arrived last month from Nissan's Infiniti brand. De Nysschen says he aims to create a unique Cadillac culture at GM, predicting it will take at least 10 years to turn the brand into a "pinnacle" luxury nameplate.
