Two American brands, Buick and Cadillac, have topped a J.D. Power and Associates survey about customer satisfaction with dealership service departments.
The survey polls owners of 1- to 5-year-old vehicles about their experience getting maintenance and repair work.
Buick scored 835 out of a possible 1,000 points among mass-market brands, followed by Volkswagen (830), GMC and Mini (tied at 828), Chevrolet (812) and Toyota (801). The lowest-ranked mass-market brands are Ram (752), Jeep (756), Dodge (765) and Subaru (776).
Top scoring luxury brands this year are Cadillac (872), Audi (868), Lexus (867) and Infiniti and Lincoln (tied at 865). Bottom rated brands are Land Rover (805), Volvo (840), Acura (843) and BMW and Mercedes-Benz (tied at 847).
This year's industry averages are 797 for mass-market brands and 855 for luxury brands, up eight and nine points, respectively, from 2013.
