Brake and suspension supplier Beijing West Industries Group has opened another plant in China, this one in Beijing's Fangshan district. The 764,200-sq-ft facility will make front struts and rear dampers for unidentified luxury vehicles.
BWI, which bought Delphi's Ride Dynamics and Brake unit in November 2009, has been developing complete suspension modules that integrate its own components with struts, mounts and other elements from other suppliers.
The company operates six other manufacturing facilities worldwide and has technical centers in China, France, Poland and North America. Among its customers are Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Mini, Land Rover and others.
