Bridgestone Debuts Firestone Tire Brand in India

Bridgestone Corp. launched its Firestone tire American brand in India today with a line of replacement tires for car and SUVs.

The 116-year-old marque, which Bridgestone acquired in 1988, will produce tires locally at Bridgestone factories in Chakan, Kheda and Pune.

Bridgestone has operated in India since 1996. The Japanese company began local production two years later.
