Robert Bosch GmbH says it expects its automotive operations will generate €47 billion ($53.3 billion) in sales this year.
The 7% gain compares to a 6% increase to €43.9 billion in revenue in 2016 and is about three times the projected growth in global car sales this year.
Bosch credits the performance to strong demand for electronics and sensors associated with electrified powertrains, increasing use of driver aids and the move toward autonomous driving systems. The company expects its overall sales will expand 3%-5% this year.
