BorgWarner Inc. reports its third-quarter revenue grew 9% to $2.4 billion, and net earnings surged to $185 million from $83 million in the same period last year.
Quarterly revenue from the engine and drivetrain components divisions each rose 7% to $1.5 billion and $922 million, respectively.
The company anticipates organic sales growth of about 9% this year. Its acquisition of Sevcon Inc., a U.K.-based supplier of propulsion motors and power control modules, is likely to contribute about $15 million in sales in the current quarter.
