Next month BMW plans to begin recalling 134,100 of its 5 Series midsize sedans to fix brake, backup and tail lamps that could stop working.
The campaign includes 2008-2010 model cars, including the M5 model. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration attributes the problem to electrical connections that could corrode.
A similar problem prompted BMW to recall 241,000 of its 3 Series small cars two years ago.
