BMW Reports Record Sales for June

BMW AG’s worldwide sales grew 9% to a record 227,800 units in June, helping to boost deliveries in the first half of 2016 by 6% to a record 1.16 million vehicles.

The company’s BMW brand sales rose 10% to 189,100 in June and 6% to 986,600 in January-June. Mini brand sales set monthly and half-year records, rising 6% to 38,300 cars and 5% to 174,900 units, respectively.

BMW says group sales in June climbed in Europe (+15% to 110,300 units) and Asia (+12% to 67,700). Volume shrank 8% to 42,400 units in the Americas, dragged down by a 12% drop to 33,800 units in the U.S.
