BMW Names New Manufacturing Chief for Mini
BMW AG has named Frank Bachmann, head of its future production sites, to take charge of production at its Mini brand on Oct. 1.
BMW AG has named Frank Bachmann, head of its future production sites, to take charge of production at its Mini brand on Oct. 1.
He will succeed Juergen Hedrich, who will take another production job at BMW.
Bachman, a 24-year BMW veteran, previously worked at Mini as head of manufacturing concepts in the early 2000s. Other jobs included head of assembly technology and production jobs in Germany and South Africa.
Bachman will oversee Mini's three factories, all in England: an assembly plant in Oxford, a stamping facility in Swindon and an engine factory near Birmingham.
