BMW Hires Former Ferrari Tech Director

BMW AG has hired Roberto Fedeli, formerly Ferrari SpA's technical director, to fill an unspecified job beginning Nov. 1.

Fedeli, who joined Ferrari in 1088, resigned three days after Luca de Montezemolo announced he was quitting his job as the company's CEO.

Since 2007 Fedeli held overall management responsibility for engineering all Ferrari models. He duties have been assigned to Michael Leiters, who left Porsche AG to join the company in January as chief technology officer.
