BMW Group Sales Rise 8%

BMW AG hiked deliveries 8% to a record 208,800 vehicles in June, helping push January-June sales to a record 1.10 million units.

BMW brand sales climbed 5% to 172,400 units in June and 5% to 932,000 for the first six months of 2015. Demand for Mini cars jumped 25% to 36,000 units in June and helped set a first-half record of 165,900 units.

The company says BMW-Mini sales in January-June rose 5% to 336,300 units in Asia, including 3% growth to 230,600 units in China. Volume advanced 10% to 241,800 in the Americas and 9% to 488,100 in Europe.
