Demand for BMW brand vehicles rose 10% to 1.81 million units last year, capped by a 14% jump to 178,000 units in December. Sales of the i3 electric sedan totaled 16,100 units. The company delivered 1,700 of its exotic i8 hybrid sports cars.
Mini sales slipped 1% to 302,200 units in 2014 in spite of a 17% surge last month to 94,600 cars. Rolls-Royce posted a record 4,100 deliveries last year, helped by strong demand for its new Ghost Series II luxury sedans.
