BMW Group reports sales of 2.25 million vehicles worldwide in 2015, compared with 2.12 million in the previous year. It was the company’s fifth consecutive sales record.

Deliveries of BMW brand cars and crossovers rose 5% to 1.91 million units, including 29,500 i-series electric and hybrid models. Sales of Mini cars in 2015 jumped 12% to a record 338,500 units. Demand for ultra-luxury Rolls-Royce vehicles dropped to 3,800 cars from nearly 4,100 in 2014.

The group sold 1 million vehicles in Europe last year, up 9%. Sales in Asia advanced 4% to 684,100 units. Demand in the Americas grew 3% to 494,600.
