Bernhard Gets Contract Extension at Daimler

Daimler AG's supervisory board has extended the contract of Wolfgang Bernhard through February 2018. Bernhard oversees the Mercedes-Benz Vans unit and manufacturing and purchasing for the Mercedes-Benz Cars business.

Bernhard's contract had been set to expire next February. He is considered a strong contender to eventually succeed CEO Dieter Zetsche.
