Luc Donckerwolke, who has headed vehicle design at Volkswagen Group's Bentley Motors unit for three years, has left the company for unspecified reasons.

He will be succeeded by Stefan Sielaff, who heads the Volkswagen Design Center in Potsdam, effective July 1. Sielaff will continue as the head of VW Group's interior design strategy.

Donckerwolke, who worked at VW's Audi, Lamborghini and SEAT units before joining Bentley, made news in March by accusing Ford Motor Co. of copying his Flying Spur design for its new Lincoln Continental luxury car.
