Bentley Names New Chief Designer

Volkswagen AG's Bentley Motors unit has appointed Luc Donckerwolke, VW advance design chief, as the ultra-luxury brand's new director of design.

Donckerwolke succeeds Dirk van Braeckel, who will move to an unspecified design post at VW after 13 years as Bentley's design boss.

Donckerwolke joined VW's Audi brand as a designer in 1992 and went on to serve as a designer for the Lamborghini, SEAT and Skoda brands. At Lamborghini, where he headed design in 2003-2005, Donckerwolke is credited with penning the Gallardo and Murcielago supercars.
