Mathias Hermansson was hired in January to be Veoneer’s chief financial officer. He previously worked at digital entertainment specialist Modern Times Group for 18 years, the last three years as CFO. Mats Backman will continue in his role as Autoliv’s CFO.

Following the spin-off, Johan Lofvenholm will become Veoneer’s chief operating officer. He currently heads Autoliv’s electronics business.

Veoneer will focus on safety electronics, sensors and software for active safety, advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving technologies. Autoliv’s remaining Passive Safety business consists of airbags, seatbelts and steering wheels. Both companies will be based in Stockholm.
