Output by the country’s three largest carmakers expanded by double digits last month. Production jumped at Toyota (+12% to 240,400 units), Nissan (+20% to 62,600) and Honda (+14% to 52,200).
August exports for Japan’s eight carmakers advanced 3% to 307,500 units, according to the newspaper. Production by the companies outside Japan climbed 11% to 1.57 million vehicles.
