Austria’s Milan Automotive GmbH says its upcoming Milan Red hypercar can rocket from zero to 62 mph in less than 2.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of about 250 mph.
The rear-wheel-drive car is powered by a quad-turbocharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that generates 1,325 hp. The vehicle weighs less than 2,900 lbs and features an all-carbon wishbone suspension, which the company describes as an industry first.
The car also sports a variety of aerodynamic systems and will feature an interior display that shows a “visualization” of the driver’s heartbeat. Milan Offered no other information about the car or launch timing.
Milan worked with AVL and Pankl Racing Systems on the car. The carbon suspension is supplied by Peak Technology. All three companies are Austrian.
Formed by former racecar driver Markus Fux, Milan Automobile says it has pre-sold 18 of the intended production run of 99 units for about €2 million ($2.3 million) apiece. The Milan Red is named after the red kite bird of prey.
