Audi’s U.S. Unit Names Its first American CFO

Audi AG’s American unit in Auburn Hills, Mich., has named Matt Carpenter as its chief financial officer, effective immediately. He is the unit’s first American CFO.

Carpenter, 36, succeeds Christian Schroth, who held the post for four years. Schroth has returned to Audi’s headquarters in Germany to lead a “digital transformation” of the company’s finance operations.

Carpenter joined Audi from Ford Motor Co. in 2007. He was serving as general manager of vehicle sales for Audi of America before his latest promotion.
