Volkswagen AG is launching three recalls in the U.S. to fix potential fuel leak problems in 281,400 Audi and VW brand vehicles.
The campaigns will involve Audi’s gasoline-powered 2007-2012 model Q7 large crossovers, 2009-2012 model Q5 midsize crossovers, 2012-2013 model A6 and A7 large sedans and 2015-2016 model A3 and A3 Cabriolet small cars. The callbacks also will cover VW-brand 2015-2016 Golf and GTI hatchbacks and SportWagens.
Depending upon the model, the recalls will repair 143,200 fuel pump flanges that could crack, 110,000 with faulty evaporative emissions systems and 28,200 cars with fuel hoses that may deteriorate and crack. None of the campaigns will begin until dealers receive sufficient replacement parts.
