Audi AG will unveil its new and sportier design direction in November at the Los Angeles auto show.
The Volkswagen AG unit will showcase its new look, which includes a fresh approach to interior design, in the form of a concept car penned by Marc Lichte. He replaced Wolfgang Egger as head of Audi design in February and will lead a design shift that eventually will touch all future Audi models.
Lichte says the next-generation Audis will retain the brand's big single-frame grille but reconfigure it for a sportier look.
Before joining Audi, Lichte was in charge of exterior design for VW. His earlier work includes the VW Phaeton luxury sedan, Touareg small crossover, Passat sedan and the last three versions of the Golf hatchback.
