As part of a new €3 billion ($3.3 billion) investment program, Volkswagen AG’s Audi unit says it will add a small crossover/SUV to its lineup in 2016. The vehicle will be sold globally as the Q2.

The luxury marque also plans to launch an all-new version of its midsize Q5 SUV next year and introduce its first electric vehicle by 2018. By 2020, the company plans to expand its car and crossover/SUV range to 60 different models worldwide.

Audi’s expansion is counter to the rest of the Volkswagen Group, which is cutting back in the wake of the ongoing diesel emissions cheating scandal. Overall VW has vowed to cut capital expenditures by 7% in 2016 and begin to consolidate its 300-model lineup across eight brands.
