Audi AG confirms a report last week that Hildegard Wortmann, a former BMW brand manager, will take over as its head of sales and marketing on July 1.
Wortmann will succeed Bram Schot, who has held the job since 2012. Schot was made Audi’s CEO on Jan. 1. He had been serving as interim chief for six months following the arrest of CEO Rupert Stadler in June on charges of tampering an investigation into diesel emission cheating.
Wortmann most recently was BMW brand manager for the Asia-Pacific region outside China.
