Audi Completes Ducati Acquisition
Volkswagen AG's Audi unit has completed the €860 million ($1.1 billion) purchase of Italian motorcycle maker Ducati Motor Holding SpA.
Volkswagen AG's Audi unit has completed the €860 million ($1.1 billion) purchase of Italian motorcycle maker Ducati Motor Holding SpA. Ducati is now VW's 11th brand.
Audi CEO Rupert Stadler and two other executives have joined the supervisory board of the Bologna, Italy-based company. The German luxury carmaker says Ducati's management team will remain in place and continue to run the business.
The motorcycle maker generated €480 million ($589 million) in revenue last year and sold about 42,000 motorcycles.
