The pint-size car is a relative bargain at $22,500 from London-based Prindiville Prestige Ltd., which normally specializes in customized supercars costing as much as $1.1 million.
Prindiville plans an initial production run of 25 vehicles, which it describes as officially licensed products of General Motors, owner of the Hummer brand. The car has Hummer styling cues and multiple Hummer logos inside and out.
The rear-drive runabout is powered by a 72-volt lithium-ion battery and direct-drive electric motor. Measuring slightly less than 10 feet long, the vehicle's fiberglass body and steel frame ride on 15-inch wheels.
The Prindiville Hummer has an adjustable suspension but no off-road pretensions. The car is suitable for short urban and suburban jaunts, according to the company. Options include carbon-fiber body panels, leather trim interior and air conditioning.
