Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. has filed an application to trademark the name Valhalla, fueling speculation the luxury carmaker will use the moniker for the hypercar it plans to launch in 2021.

The new model, which is codenamed 003, is based on Aston Martin’s upcoming Valkyrie (001) and Valkyrie AMR PRO (002) models. In Norse mythology, Valhalla is where the souls of soldiers killed in combat are taken, accompanied by warrior women known as Valkyries.

Like the Valkyrie models, the 003 will feature a hybrid-electric powertrain with a mid-engine layout, a lightweight structure, advanced aerodynamic features and an active suspension. The new car is expected to be slightly more mainstream and about half of the price of the Valkyrie models, which are likely to start at about £2 million ($2.7 million). Production of the 003 will be limited to 500 units.
