Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. tells Bloomberg News it will replace its iconic DBS supercar model with a next-generation car similar to a prototype it showed in Italy last month.
The new model will go into production late this year to mark the 100th anniversary of the company in 2013, according to Michael van der Sande, Aston Martin's chief commercial officer. He tells Bloomberg the car will signal the company's design and technology directions.
Aston Martin sells fewer than 5,000 cars per year. The DBS which sells for $123,900-$309,700 is the company's most popular model.
