Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd.’s first crossover vehicle, the DBX, will be base priced at $193,000 in the U.S. when it debuts in mid-2020.

That will make the new ultra-luxury crossover about $25,000 more expensive than the Bentley Bentayga. But the Aston Martin model will be $18,000 less than a Lamborghini Urus and will undercut the Rolls-Royce Cullinan by nearly $140,000.

Aston Martin will publicly unveil the DBX on Nov. 20 in Beijing. The vehicle will be built at the company’s new factory in St. Athan, Wales.

The DBX will be powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine tuned to make 542 hp. A less potent variant of the Mercedes AMG-supplied engine is used in Aston Martin’s Vantage and DB11 sports cars. A hybrid-electric version of the DBX also is in the works.
