Honda Motor Co. confirms that another traffic death in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was caused by an exploding Takata Corp. airbag inflator in one of the company’s cars.

The fatality is the 19th confirmed by Honda since 2009 and at least the 23rd involving Takata inflators worldwide, Reuters reports. Two deaths have been reported to date by Ford Motor Co.

Reuters notes that Malaysian officials have not declared an official cause of death in two more similar fatalities. The explosion-prone Takata inflators have prompted 19 carmakers to recall more than 120 million vehicles worldwide.

Some of the devices most likely to misfire are in U.S. vehicles that have been recalled but not taken in by their owners for free repairs. Owners can determine if their vehicle is involved by clicking HERE or visiting www.safecar.gov and entering the car’s vehicle identification number.
