Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV’s Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep brands are the latest to opt out of the Paris auto show in September, according to multiple media reports.
Those brands will join Ford, Infiniti, Nissan and Volkswagen, which previously decided not to display at this year’s show. The defections are the latest in a global review by carmakers about when and how they debut new products.
Last autumn Alfa, Fiat and Jeep skipped the Frankfurt auto show, which alternates with the Paris event. Earlier this year Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz announced they would not appear at next January’s Detroit auto show. And last week Volvo announced it won’t appear at next March’s show in Geneva.
