Airstream to Boost Production Capacity 50%

Thor Industries Inc. says its Airstream unit will spend $6 million to hike production space at its travel trailer factory in Jackson Center, Ohio, 70% to 228,000 sq ft by next May.

The expansion, which will increase annual capacity 50% at the factory, is justified by strong demand for its trailers, health sales momentum and a bullish outlook among its dealers, according to the company.

Airstream has been making its iconic trailers in Jackson Center for 62 years. The facility operated at full capacity last year.
