Porsche AG, which began a review of its U.S. creative advertising account in December, will remain with Cramer-Krasselt, the Chicago-based independent agency that has managed the business since 2007, Advertising Age reports.

The other four finalists vying for the $23 million-per-year account were MDC Partners' Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Cheil Worldwide's McKinney and independents Droga5 and Olson.

Porsche tells Ad Age that it chose Cramer-Krasselt because of its innovative work and "unique understanding" of the brand. Omnicom Media Group's PHD will continue to handle Porsche's U.S. media buying account.

The newspaper reported previously that Porsche units in other markets also were conducting ad reviews at the request of parent Volkswagen AG's purchasing department. VW completed its acquisition of Porsche last August.
