Would James Bond Wear Them?
This is a car.
This is a car.
But not just any car. It is the Q by Aston Martin Vanquish S Red Arrows edition.
This is a shoe.
But not just any shoe. It is the Aston Martin x Hogan luxury sneaker.
There are 10 Vanquish S Red Arrows being built.
There are 3,000 pairs of the sneakers being produced.
According to Marek Reichman, executive vice president and Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin (and renowned car designer), “Collaborating with brands that share our views on quality, style and elegance is important to us.”
Hogan, founded in 1986, is part of Italian luxury goods group Tod’s S.p.A.
Aston Martin, founded in 1913, is owned by a consortium of investment firms including Investment Dar, Adeem Investment and InvestIndustrial.
Reichman continued, “Working with creative teams outside of the automotive industry helps to broaden our designers’ minds, and this is always a positive experience for both myself and my team at Gaydon. We take inspiration from all walks of life and our work with Hogan will help to shape and inspire many aspects of our future creations.”
While the sneaker is said to have a silhouette of an Aston Martin car, what is closer to the vehicle is the leather used for the tongue: it is cut from Aston Martin’s classic kestrel tan leather with pinched seam detailing and features the iconic Aston Martin wings.
Here’s hoping Reichman and his colleagues stick to the cars. The shoes may be nice, but:
