It has engaged Italian design firms Italdesign and Pininfarina for creating the designs for its portfolio-in-becoming which includes crossovers and city cars, electric vehicles and ICE-powered cars.
And it has now entered into an agreement with Magna to perform full vehicle development—including a feasibility study, testing, validation, and support though launch—for two models, a sedan and an SUV.
Magna anticipates accomplishing the development, thanks, in part, to the use of virtual engineering methods, in just 12 months.
The two vehicles are to be introduced at the Paris Motor Show this October.
VinFast manufacturing will be performed in a plant in Haiphong, Vietnam.
