Cybersecurity is a fast-growing challenge for carmakers as they develop connected and self-driving vehicles, notes Randy Miller, EY’s Global Automotive & Transportation Leader.

One solution, Miller says, is through an alliance between EY and cybersecurity researchers at the Los Alamos National Laboratories. The partnership combines what Sean Wessman, EY's Automotive Cyber Security Leader, describes as EY’s ability to solve large and complex problems with access to world-class security science at Los Alamos.

Joshua Neil, EY’s senior manager of security analytics, says tools developed at Los Alamos to help computer networks detect and defend against cyber attacks can be scaled and applied in a connected vehicle ecosystem.
