Chip Foose, who is just 48, is arguably a legendary designer of hot rods and other vehicles. Young for a legend.
A few years back, we ran a story on Foose in Automotive Design & Production, and since then, it has been in the top-10 of articles researched on our site.
So because of that interest, here’s one of the latest designs from Foose, the “WD-40/SEMA Cares Challenger.” A 2012 Dodge Challenger that Foose customized with such things as custom BASF paint mixed by Foose, a Street Scene/Foose Design body kit, special MHT/Foose wheels, and WD-40-branded Katzkin upholstery.
The car will be auctioned off at the 2012 Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction, with proceeds going to Childhelp and The Victory Junction Gang Camp.
And for those of you who are interested in Foose designs but can’t afford to bid for the car, know that limited-edition WD-40 cans with Foose designs on them (1956 Ford F-100, 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, 1956 Chevrolet Nomad, 2009 Chevrolet Camaro) will be appearing in retailers.
