ZF Friedrichshafen AG confirms last week’s media reports that Wolf-Henning Scheider will take over as its new CEO on Feb. 1.

Scheider held former CEO positions at Mahle and Robert Bosch’s automotive unit before joining ZF last month. He succeeds Stefan Sommer, who quit in December after a fight with owners of the closely held company over growth strategy.
