Webasto To Open 11th Factory in China

Munich-based Webasto SE has finalized a deal to build its 11th factory in Wuhan, China, to produce automotive sunroofs, sources tell the Xinhua news service.

The 500 million-yuan ($73 million facility will be Webasto’s largest in China when it opens late next year.

Webasto describes itself as one of the 100 largest suppliers in the auto industry. Besides sunroof and convertible roof systems, the German company makes heating and cooling systems for cars and aftermarket parking heaters used to preheat parked cars in cold weather.
