VW’s Global Retail Sales Rose 2% in June

Volkswagen Group raised its vehicle deliveries in June 2% to 974,400 cars, trucks and buses, thanks to a 15% jump to 354,800 units in China.

June sales fell 5% to 435,000 vehicles in Europe, where results compare with an atypical surge in sales a year ago ahead of the industry’s adoption of tougher WLTP emission rules.

Deliveries dipped 1% in North America, where a sales gain of 6% to 56,700 units nearly offset declines in Mexico (-8% to 14,700 units) and Canada (-20% to 9,300). Volume was flat in South America at 48,600 units.
