Volkswagen AG’s Italdesign unit will unveil an unspecified supercar at next month’s Geneva auto show.
Italdesign has shown several teaser images of various parts of the vehicle but hasn’t released any information other than to describe the car as “extraordinary" with a powerful engine. The company also hinted that production could be limited to five vehicles.
Media reports speculate the vehicle could be the high-output Lamborghini Huracan Performante that is due to bow in Geneva. That vehicle is expected to be powered by a 5.2-liter V-10 engine tuned to make as much as 602 hp and 453 lb-ft of torque.
VW’s Audi unit bought a 90% share of Italdesign in 2010 and acquired the remaining 10% in 2015.
