VW Reports 4% Sales Gain in November

Volkswagen AG says its group sales rose to 826,600 units last month from 794,400 in November 2012, led by strong growth in China.

The company's sales in January-November grew nearly 5% to 8.68 million units. Volume for the 11-month period rose 17% to 2.96 million vehicles in China and 7% to 757,300 units in North America. Sales slipped 1% to 3.36 million in Europe and fell 10% to 923,800 vehicles in South America.

Volume for the group's Volkswagen brand grew 3% to 5.40 million in the year through November. Audi sales rose 7% to 1.44 million. Skoda's deliveries fell 3% to 850,700 for the period, but SEAT's sales jumped nearly 11% to 324,500 units.
