VW Names De Nysschen COO for N. America

Johan de Nysschen has been appointed chief operating officer for Volkswagen brand operations in North America, effective Oct. 1.

De Nysschen, 59, was president of the Cadillac luxury brand at General Motors Co. for four years before being ousted last year. He previously headed Nissan’s Infiniti luxury brand and held numerous executive positions over a 20-year period at VW Group, including head of the group’s Audi brand.

In his new position, de Nysschen will report to Scott Keogh, CEO of Volkswagen Group of America.
