VW May Add More Brands After All

But Chairman Ferdinand Piech tells Germany's ADAC Motorwelt that in 10 years VW will have "at least 13 brands."
Piech didn't elaborate, although he again expressed his fondness for Fiat SpA's Alfa Romeo brand. Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has repeatedly insisted that Alfa isn't for sale.
Last month VW said it would decide by year-end whether to develop a line of low-cost vehicles for emerging markets and whether to sell such vehicles under a new marque.
