Group sales fell in Europe (-2% to 307,200 vehicles) and Asia Pacific (-2% to 248,400). But regional sales advanced in North America (+8% to 67,300 units) and South America (+4% to 35,400).
VW and Audi brand sales for the month dropped 3% to 384,100 units and 1% to 125,100, respectively. But volume rose for SEAT (+11% to 31,800 vehicles) and Skoda (+3% to 81,200).
The company, anticipating continued mixed results by region, says it is focused on “qualitative growth” in 2017.
